Game Master's Ten Commandments

1. I am the Lord thy Game Master, who hath created and manage this world, and hath brought thee here that thee might garner some benefit of entertainment. In this world, I reign supreme and shall manage it as I see fit. Therefore, in this place, thou shalt have no other GMs before me.

2. Thou shalt not hold the rule books in higher esteem than myself and my judgments. For I am a wise GM, and have far greater insight over the specific situation in my world than the game developers ever could.

3. Thou shalt not challenge the GM.

4. Thou shalt not derail the game.

5. Thou shalt stay in character.

6. Thou shalt not kill thy party members, nor important NPCs, without just cause.

7. Thou shalt not metagame. For to do so implies knowledge on par with mine own, and none may know more in this world than I.

8. Thou shalt not complain when bad things happen to thy character. For in this world, I hold sway over both good and evil, and must hold both in balance.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness concerning thy die rolls, nor thy hit points, nor any other of thy stats. For to do so is to claim the ability to alter this world, and none other than I may possess that power.

10. Thou shalt not covet thy party members' items, nor their abilities. For in this world, it takes diversity to survive, and thou have thine own usefulness. If thou art too blind to see it, it is thine own fault.
